Do you like having a mantid as a pet? Does it hurt worse than getting a tattoo if she gets your finger between her "claws"/arms (not sure what to call them)? I'm considering a pet mantid but I'm worried about getting an aggressive one and getting batted at by it will hurt. If it's not worse than the pinch of a tattoo or being nibbled/bitten by a millipede I'll be good. And of coarse the species I like the best is a tropical species that will need a heat lamp, thus a non-plastic container. Have any mantid species to suggest that can be kept at room temp?
